"'As wonderful as this land is here in the United States, as much as we have been blessed by the bounty of this magnificent continent that stretches from the Atlantic to the Pacific, what makes this place special is not something physical. It has to do with this idea that was started by 13 colonies that decided to throw off the yoke of an empire and said, ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that each of us are endowed with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,'" Obama said in Monday’s speech.
In this pundit's not so humble opinion, of course Obama doesn't forget to credit our Creator for our inalienable rights. Good grief, if you believe that ... well, you are living in a vacuum, likely on a planet occupied by other ' useful idiots.' Obama worships power, control, and the social justice re-distribution of all goodies - yours and mine - to government.
After taxpayers' hard-earned dollars are entombed in the bureaucratic bowels of government, it can then be used in pandering to the many and various identity groups so loved by liberals in both political parties: young vs old; black/Hispanic vs white; women vs men; gays vs heteros; and the current favorite, poor vs rich. Get it?
Trust your instincts if nothing else; it was no mistake that Obama again omitted our Creator from his remarks. There is no way in hell that any well-trained Alinsky-trained community organizer is going to give credit to any being other than himself. Especially Obama. America's organizer-in-chief. And besides all that, any government that can give you rights is the same government that can, and trust me, will take them away. Think about it.
